What's new

Too busy?

sometimes it is nice being someone who can just look at a photograph for what it is and not feel the need to analyze every detail. when i look at the kid in the basket i see the basket as being a pair of pants with a belt and buckle and two little feet at the bottom. he doesnt look cut off to me at all. looks like hes wearing little wicker pants.

Bingo. I also looked at this like this along with my chimney post.

I misunderstood why people come to this forum then. My bad.
I thought people came here to learn about things like composition.
I thought people posted to Flickr and Facebook to get pats on the back.
*Ugh* so much time wasted.

Let's not get dramatic now.

A visual conflict is the white border on the basket overlaying the white base-board. There is no visual separation and it is like a runonsentence. I'm not certain what the end result would have been had the basket been placed differently, it might just be too busy with the strong horizontal white lines overpowering the little guy.

This is a professional photograph, it not a photo taken by someone who does not charge for their work. That there is frustration with this photo is valid to those who are prefectionists and who strive for each and every detail to be as good as it can possibly be. That takes work, and for a photo as simple as this, to have so many dings is not good for a professional, and can be a Lessons Learned for anyone one else who wants to get it right when they develop their compositions. The devil is in the details.

I'm just trying to figure out how I can get this many people to post on one of my threads asking for critique :gah:

im not saying that's not the case bitter, and im not saying that things weren't learned. or that things didn't need to be learned. some of the issues were very valid. but then some things being said are just individual things where one person may not like it and another will. and to change it for everyone's benefit would require 1000 different versions. that it gets to a point where you take care of the obvious issues and not worry about individual nitpicks.

*Pffft* That's easy. Just tell them they are wrong and they don't know what they are talking about. Duh.

Post a link to one of your threads mc and I'll critique the hell out of it. You should be forewarned that I've had a **** week and my first two day weekend in months is starting with a sinus infection so there's a relatively good chance that I'm going to hate just about anything.

Haha, Bitter, I was thinking that! And.... to say I'm charging! :sexywink:
