Have a picture from my great-grand mother of a train arriving in town, North Scituate,MA February 1920. Went to same area today and took a shot of an arriving train.

Wow - what a contrast. Nice idea.

That is amazing!!! Look at how much, and how little, the site has changed.

And look, they had about the same amount of snow that year too!

It's crazy to see the difference between the house and tree. You can tell the growth that the tree has undergone, but it doesn't appear to have grown a whole lot.

However, I love the contrast. I wish I could find a photo like that my dad took when he was really big into photography to do the same.

Thanks ,the funny thing is, the train had stopped running in this area for almost 50 years, Then in 2007 they restored the tracks.

What a really great idea! And thanks - you have reminded me about a bunch of old family photos that I have in a box somewhere here, they would really lend themselves to a similar photo project. I really need to find those photos now!

Thats really neat! You should put it in black and white or sepia :)

I recently bought about a book about my city with this same idea.

"Montreal then and now".

I love comparing the old and new photos.

What a great reality check!! Times sure have changed!! I enjoyed this, thanks for posting!!
