This is a picture of my daughter and my brother's daughter. I love it, we all love it because we love them of course

so emotionally this is a perfect picture for me.
Technically, I see some flaws of course.
but what do you think when you see it? what is the first thing that comes to your mind? emotionally or whatever...

Well. It's definitely weird looking. Are you going for a highly surrealist look?

The composition and poses are quite nice. I'm not sure what on earth you did to the light on them, but you seem to have flattened it radically (or is this a composite, and if so, whyyyyyyy?) Even if you wanted the surrealist look, I would think leaving some hint of the shadows on their faces would be good for modeling, to make them look more 3 dimensional.

Yes I agree...cute photo, but the editing is WAY over the top. You can see the girls have a halo...almost look like they are glowing. If this were my photo I would clone out the white brick. I also would have shot this from lower...eye level.

And I like your tone, I feel like you screaming at me Why did you do that!!?
At the time I was learning some new stuff in ps and gone too far. I wasn't thinking is that good for a photo I was just thinking about learning. foolish I know.. And after a while when I came back I saw that the edit is wrong but is it salvageable? I can't remember what I actually did.
And I usually don't have many layers when editing, so it isn't flattened radically, it is just edited radically (stupid)

I know that eye level would be better but I simply couldn't pull it of. I was running in front of them and trying to take a shot.
Thanks guys! that is what I wanted to hear! So it is salvageable and I'll find the original and edit it much differently.

Search for "giacomelli scanno" on images.google.com. It looks a little bit like this. The look can be very powerful!

id tone the editing down a bit and I totally understand why you couldn't get down on their level so not much I can say about that.

From this walk I managed to take one decent shot, and that one I took from behind them, so l had a bit time to set the shot.
Here is the photo again, I just did some levels and clone the white bricks out.
Problem is still there, I just don't have a clue how to edit this photo! Somebody help me, pls!

This is a decent capture but at the wrong angle and with a terrible background so it is really a family memory shot.

You could process this into a nostalgic look. (excuse rough edges on mask, this was a small picture)

paigew,I didn't want it to be in bw because of the dresses they wear. Dresses are hand made by my sister in law (mother of the left girl) This was the first time they wore it

The_Traveler, I was actually trying kind of nostalgic look you suggested, in a few different ways, but every time there was a problem when masking the girls. Because it is such horrible background, what ever I do with it I must mask it off of the girls and then they look to me as if they're photoshoped there.
