Two from Thursday

The daytime shot happened somewhere in Iowa; just snapped a bunch of shots while I was driving and like this one the most. The nighttime shot was at the city limit of Wabasha, Minnesota. It was also my first ever nighttime/headlights attempt. Kodak Easyshare C813, edited.

Night shot. The first I've ever attempted. Reason for blurriness: It was freezing cold and I was shivering, and my camera's "night landscape" mode requires a lot of stability for long exposure. Clipped out three signs on the right because I thought they were in the way.

Anyway, feel free to critique, offer CC, and do your own edits to the originals so I can see what I might do better. Please note, my edits are done using Pixlr.com as I do not own Photoshop or Lightroom (or anything of the sort), so I try to make the best of what little I have.

First impressions: I would crop the car body out of it. Having it in the photo is distracting and adds nothing to the image. The second one does not have enough detail in it to really tell what it is all about. It is just too dark.
