Here we call them a white Heron, you will know them as a Great Egret. Where I am in the north island we have just the one and it goes by the name of "George" or it could be a George-gina So here's George

Some beautiful shots of George, that's for sure! That all-white look is beautiful, but it can be the dickens to expose right in camera, and you've done a beautiful job of it, in a variety of lighting conditions.

Thanks folks. Its something we just don't have enough of and when I see what some of you take with these, I'm in awe

acparson, they eat rats. Well I never even thought of it, but yep, why wouldn't they I guess Amazing and would love a shot of that behaviour !!.

Kris, no snowy Egrets, this is all we have down here. Aussie has a few more and that's where these originated from way back when. They moved into stay but I sure wish the numbers would grow. Yeah I love it when a breeze kicks in and the feathers get ruffled , its a great look as long as you have your shutter speed high enough.
