Walkaround Lens for Europe trip

To me the x100/t is a waste of a great sensor in a body that can only do one focal length. Yes its a lovely imager but a small aps-c camera with interchangeable lenses is (in my opinion) so much better

True - but then do you want to stand there zooming in/out, worrying about focal length, or just use your feet and get closer to the action? It does have a macro mode which is pretty good for when you're super close.

I guess we can throw lots of suggestions at the OP, but the choice is theirs at the end of the day - and if they already have the system with interchangable lenses, perhaps they should get the new lens.

All good fun discussions though :)

id rather stand there and zoom...

I have first-hand experience with the Sigma 17-70 f/2.8-4 Contemporary lens. It is a fantastic and sharp lens that I used as my walk around lens. I don't think you'd be disappointed at all. If I were you, I'd go with the Sigma 17-70 over the Sigma 17-50 for the extra 20mm of reach.
