Water Drops

Im looking to do some water drop photos. I know that i need some kind of sound sensor to trip my flash when the drop hits the water. Does anyone know where i can get a cheap light sensor for my bounce flash? or another way to do the drop photo's? My camera is a canon rebel xsi. Is it quick enough to even do it? thanks

Here is a way to do it without a sound sensor or any complicated equipment. Hope that helps.
