Hello all,
I have my 1st wedding ever Friday! I am so excited but so nevous too. (I am a Professinal Photography major in college so I know my way around a camera, please I don't need rude comments) I was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice. Ive been reading books and talking to people and everyone just says youll do fine. Does anyone have anything I should know?
I have a contrat, I have an asstiant, I am going to the venue tomorrow so i know my way around. I will have a time line tomorrow, and I have my time slot for the day 30mins. I have a list of shots they want......am I mising something?
Also, (please don't take this the wrong way because i don't mean it this way) but the bride is really really white, and the groom is not, how to I take my photo's without blowing her out but also getting the groom in the photos????
and the last thing is, I got a flash, but ive never used one before, is there anything i should know?
Thanks all and please I don't need any drama lamas
Thanks again:D

Your first sentence just about guarantees the last...
IBTL

It's like saying you know how to drive a car but never used the headlight before.

This has got to be a troll... oh please let it be a troll.

Tell him to undergo skin bleaching process that Late king of pop did.

dont do it kid your not ready i use flash for at least 60 % of the pics

Thanks so much for that advice you guys are great! I just wont use the flash then I know how to work my camera

I just don't understand other photographers sometimes, why does everyone have to always act like there so much better then someone else. Everyone starts out somewhere, putting others down gets you no where and makes you look like a fool!

Same old song and dance.

But frankly, shooting a wedding Friday, not knowing how to use your flash, will make you look like a fool.

So be careful when pointing fingers.

Thats why I flippin asked, I know how to use it, I know how to make it flash, I have used off flash before like in studio, but never on camera. Ive used up to 8 going off at once I just wanted advice not some crap from others. I just wanted to know if there was anything you think I should know. Thank you all for your concern........

You will need your flash, learn how to bounce it.

You will do fine, I was so nervous I shook the entire time for my first wedding (and I was a second shooter!). Don't be afraid you use your outdoor voice, people will not listen to you most of the time unless you do. Have patience.... lots of patience.

Yeah I was thinking about bouncing it off the ceiling since it's white......to make sure i dont lose the groom in the room.....

If the ceilings are too high you'll want to look into a bounce card, I made mine with white card board and an elastic :)
