OK this may be a wee bit too abstract but......

Started playing with 3D scenes and exported through a synthetic camera object. The image is 2 spheres with reflective textures and a few light objects.

This challenge prompted me to finally try my hand at some water drops. Maybe not abstract by definition I suppose.
It was certainly a challenge and I'll do better next try.

I don't know whether you're familiar with it, but I think the (free) editing program Paint.Net will bring you lots of fun, super easy to use with regular updates and without having to provide an email address etc. Many people have made all kinds of plugins for this program, I've been using Paint.Net including something like 200 plugins for years and I think it's really big fun to use, all plugins can easily be downloaded via the original Paint.Net webpage. You can even use Photoshop plugins in Paint.Net, if you wish, also a completely separate plugin that I recommend, namely G'MIC Qt. (Paint.Net does not accept Raw files) Below the respective links, just give it a try!

Not sure if this fits here, but I've had a few in this style described as "abstract" on the Forum. This could be someone in a back booth in a diner painted by Hopper - but it was someone seated near us in a local Italian restaurant.
