What do you think about this photograph?

I had a session today with a couple of kids, maybe 4 and 2. They were very basic, white background, some shots had toys as props, etc. I got a little bored while editing and started playing around a bit. What do you make of this edit? Is it interesting? Is it horrible? Is it cute? What the heck is it!?

Yeah, I know there is no context - it isn't for a Men's Wearhouse ad or anything. It's just a standalone pic.

I agree on the exposure. Even though I don't like to see kids dressed as adults I like the picture. The stance (hands in pockets) and the grin will make it a classic once you've fixed it (I'd try bringing down the red on his face, too). Somehow it just says "Norman Rockwell" to me.

Edited to add: Here's my take on it; cropped a little closer and adjusted levels in PSE 8 then moved to Portrait Professional 11 where I toned down what appeared to be his eczema.

All it is right now is a cute kid in a wrinkled suit. Suits are not made to be wrinkled IMO. Regular clothes, yes.

Kinda looks like the paints went through the dryer then sat there for a couple of days and are full of static wrinkles. LOL

The suit isn't wrinkled, it's badly made (look at the seam on the leg, there's just So Much Wrong there) and it doesn't fit.

It DOES give a little flavor of the "kid playing dressup" with the poor fit, but the fact that it kind of fits drops it into a no-mans-land of weird, for me.
