What I don't get about my 300D...

Why is it that the recording options (quality) offers 6.3MP then the next step down is 2.8MP, then 1.6MP? My not have a 4 or a three?

Why shoot at anything less than full res? You never know what size you'll want to print at. This is a cliche' quote but here it is anyway. "Memory is cheap, but memories are priceless."

Well I didn't say I want to print at anything less - just why they didnt put that option in if they are going to include a 1MP and a 2MP option.

It's more like 6mp, 3mp, and 1.5mp; half and half again.

Maybe it's because there's not much you can do with a 4mp picture. You can't really blow it up nice and big and you'd just have to shrink it down heaps to use on the web.

Yeah but still. I am just thinking. If I get stuck somewhere and am very close to running out of memory - I would rather drop down to a 5 or 4mp and get a few more shots, rather than drop down to a 1 or 2MP and get lots of crap shots.

(And before anyone says to buy lots of memory cards so that doesn't happen, unfortunately I don't have the luxury of money at the moment. I owe my mum $1500 and the bank $4000 - so I have not got money to spend on memory cards. And a new bag would be coming first cause my 300D doesnt fit in the existing one.)
