What's new

What part of the globe would you describe as a photographer's paradise?

The former yes, how you are being treated does not impact the potential of an amazing photograph. And I have seen some amazing photographs from London.
The latter yes, too for the same reasons. Political instability doesn't change the beautiful landscapes of North Korea which would be amazing to photograph.

It is clear you and I have a different definition of paradise.
Absolutely true. You do have a point about those places having amazing photographic potential. Just the idea of having to deal with the authorities make me go..yuck. they can keep it.

My Ideal place given what I do: Giant Studio with huge windows, amazing props and set design. And all the lighting gear I can desire, a wind tunnel, a buffet table and an ILLY expresso machine.

Hawaii. Any of the islands but Oahu is the best, I think.

Countries and landscapes: Alaska, Canada, Norway, Sweden.

Cities: Vienna, Firenze, Boston, Seattle.

Indoor: woodworking shops, luthiers shops, barns, old houses like Arlington.

Heh Garbz,
I am not a war photographer. I have no inclination to get myself shot at or blown up. I absolutely hate still life. I've dabbled in food photography - still life involving food-like substances *UGH*
No, I shoot fashion and portraiture. I also do about 3 or 4 weddings a year if the client is a good fit.

I like shooting when I am invited and paid to do so.
