Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
So I took this photo on a dealer lot that I explore often (on Sunday's of course.:greenpbl:) I love to practice on really nice, stationary cars. The problem is, all of the cars have bright blue dealership plates on them. Good advertising for the dealership, but I don't like it in my picture.

So what would you do? Leave it? Black it out?

Feel free to edit it. I'm looking for ideas.
Thanks!

It probably wouldn't be as distracting if the plate was in B&W.

I thought so too. I tried it and it improved it that's for sure. I just wondered if there is anything else people do in similar situations.

Well I would buy the car and then take some nice shots in different areas as well as picking up bunch of speeding tickets on the way.

Seriously though the car shot is beautiful but the plate and other cars/wires really mess up the picture and unless you can crop tighter and take some of the distracting elements out of the picture, there is not much more that can be done, maybe try different angles in order to eliminate the distracting parts.

Dialed the plate down to 15% saturation.

^Not bad at all.

I'm sure I can eliminate the wires in post processing, but the other things I can't do anything about. I don't have the money for that car and even if I did I can think of 100 different cars I'd rather have.

I wasn't really asking for C&C on the image per se, but rather on how to remove the plate. Thanks though. :)

I tried to clone the plate out and make the blank space look natural but I blow at cloning.

I'd trade it for an R8...

Oh you meant the photo. This depends on your photoshop skills but you could find an image like this and switch it in.

This looks really good! It looks neked now! Maybe if there were four holes where the plate screws would go?

Thanks!

This is a really good idea. I wonder how hard that would be...

Id defiantly stick with the cloning idea i think it works best to create a cleaner image of the car. EckZero did a good job just needs some fine tuning and it will be great. If you use B/W , it will still be distracting due to the text still being there.

Pick up some strange......oh wait, you meant the picture not the Carrera.....

I would reshoot if possible. The setting sucks. You can mask the car and blur the background more, but the background is reflected in the car as well. Way too much work and effort to fix a shot IMO. Awesome car though.

I can't reshoot...

It's a car waiting to be sold at a dealership. I don't know anyone who owns a Porsche of that caliber... a Boxter is just not the same...lol

Ha, Boxter; the poor mans Porsche. You should look up some local car clubs. Might be an exotic club in your area that would be happy to have some shots of their cars done.
