What's new

What would you do with this?

make a selection of the plate and fill with content aware. you will still have to touch up, but it usually does a pretty good job.

That content aware fill is nice!

Obviously not perfect, but still really nice! First time ever using it...
I can't stare at my computer screen anymore. I'm out for the night.

Thanks for all the suggestions everybody!

How about just putting a regular Iowa plate on it?

a Boxter is just not the same...lol
Ha, Boxter; the poor mans Porsche. You should look up some local car clubs. Might be an exotic club in your area that would be happy to have some shots of their cars done.

BAHAHA! I can count on one hand the number of "exotic" cars I've seen in my lifetime here. I live in OMAHA, NE. The only thing that matters in these parts is displacement. Big V8's and diesel trucks or nothing.

I did order a bunch of business cards and I plan on handing them out at car shows over the season. A lot of the older guys in this area have restored classics that they just might want to have a few snaps of!

I saw a really nice Ferrari down around 144th and Maple =p
I followed it into a parking lot. hahaha.

Have you tried the car place on 132nd and Blondo, they have a lot of nice classics. Nothing too exotic, mostly Porsche, Corvettes, etc. But have some nice older models.
Give em a call and ask if they'd let you take some shots.

I was/ am considering getting a new job, possibly one that involves taking pictures of cars. I was thinking someone has to take the pictures for online ads, they should be good right? So the car sells better? Do ya suppose dealers would pay for that kinda thing?

All the crap in the background is worse than the plate

I would drive it somewhere hahaha.. then take pics like gsgary suggested ;). I would also drive it like it is hot on the way to the shooting location.

I actually applied for said job a few weeks back (didn't get it though). It was for a Honda dealership in 72nd and Dodge, position titled "Internet Assistant". Part of the job was taking pictures of the cars (they have a photo room/warehouse/thing, white walls, floors, lighting, etc) and posting them up on the website. So yeah, dealerships definitely have that type of job, but I doubt it's easy to find one.
Check Craigslist daily! =p
