In the late 50s & early 60s I was very much into photography with a Minolta SLR. I aspired to make photography a career but life got in the way. I got back into it, now digital, in the last 4 years.

Ron, I believe they're match sticks although I've never seen purple. Having said that, knowing you they could possibly be a purple fungus under a piece of wood.

I was there as well in the late 70's early 80's but I never really had the money to get really good equipment and didn't have the talent (still don't on both parts ) then as was said ... life got in the way. I also had a fleeting notion about being a wedding photographer after a friend got lousy photos from a professional but decided that I like shooting nature and not people.

Well Chevy, I think it just depends on the brand you buy.

The only brand we seem to ever have is 'Cooks Matches' lol mind you i haven't used a match in so long, everything is electric these days *sigh*
