Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
I always feel like im way to busy to shoot anything with 2 kids all their activities and taking care of my home , im a housewife and never have the time ,, do you all schedule time or bring you Camera everywhere or just when you plan on going somewhere ,,, i havent held my camera for anything but point and shooting my kids stuff in months its sooo depressing im starting to OVERLY edit my old photos just to feel like i have something new :( anyway just wondering when you take photos for you ,,, i know alot of you do it as a job but im talking about the ones you take for you

ps..... this sounds snotty but is it wrong of me that i want to invite a girl that i know who think shes the most amazing photographer around here to get knocked down a few feet , i mean dont get me wrong shes great and talented and young so she has sooo much potential but she just is a bit too cocky lol i dont know maybe im just mean :lmao:

I just keep my camera w/ me in my car. I work full time and don't get near as much time as I'd like to shoot and edit. Sometimes I drive around after work looking for things that attract me eye

I know what you mean! I don't find the time to shoot for me, either. I have 2 kids and all that and I'm in school and have a parent who's disabled. I get discouraged OFTEN. I feel like I don't have the time to practice and BOY do I need to practice. I LOVE taking pictures, though, and so I try to think of all of them as shooting for me.

Keep your head up.

No, your PS isn't snotty. I've thought the same things about a few different people.

Way to work, lunch hour, way home from work and that's about it for unscheduled time.

I have two kids too, I know what you mean. So, I ususally do what I want to do on Sunday's and we make a day of it...granted if I didnt have the kids with me I'd probably get better shots, but we go to wildlife reserves and such...and then we go to a skatepark where I then also take pics of the husband skating and then me and the kids go to the playground and I try to get some more...otherwise...I just bring it everywhere when I go out in case I see something that I just have to stop and try to shoot!

I always say to myself (when the kids scare away an animal) "who ever said having kids was so great?"
I love them dearly...but man...in order to get good and understand photography I feel like I need dedicated time.

Well... long story short... I am dealing with some health issues related to a Cancerous Brain tumor that I had when I was young. This is keeping me unemployed atm . Besides that I don't have kids... So time is not the issue for me. Its mostly motivational and financial.

I can undertsand the moticational and financial as I just had surgery with an 8 day stay in the hospital. But I have noticed as I recover more I really am dieing to get back out an shoot but it is just not an option at this point.

Oh boy! I have one 8 yr old son...and he is the equilovent of having 4, 8 year old boys! lol....my dtr is only 4 but shes pretty quite...Dean (my son) will say "mom look at that Heron" and as soon as I go to take the picture, he gets out of the truck...slams the door and then continues to shout "did ya get it mom?...hurry before it flies away" but it's already flying away thanks to the slam of the door!
boys...lmao

I have a 2 yr old boy. He brought me the poop out of his diaper this morning... in his hand. :gah:

I think that's pretty much enough said about him. :waiting:

I don't find the time... the time finds me. When I am doing something with my family that I think will present the opportunity, I take my camera with me. That's about it. There are still dozens of ideas I have in my head of things I want to shoot, but the time hasn't presnted itself to do them yet.

I'm an Early bird by that i mean i am up usually around 5.00am every morning. My kids are all grown now but that being said i have nine parrots two dogs a rat a degu, Bearded dragon & a Tropical aquaruim too take care of and beleive me they are alot of work. Plus keeping house you know the usual laundry, cooking cleaning yada yada! and working full time...My day's are allways full whether i be at work or not...But i allways and i mean allway's have my Camera with me...It is pretty much attached too my hip alot like my kids were when they were all small.....:D

IMO It is important to make time for yourself and the things you enjoy whether it be just an Hour , morning or afternoon.

Why don't you leave the kids with the father for the day and go out and take your time shooting because you will never get motivated and get good shots when you have to snatch moments to shoot
