I have a D200 with 70-200 f2.8, I have been shooting action at baseball games and some crop dusting planes. My problem is that I will have one great picture and then one "whited out" and then a couple of good ones and then another "white out" picture. I am shooting continuos with single focus and also continuous focus. What could be my problem? I am up for any ideas.

Thanks

Post an example of the "whited out" picture.

I expect that it is over exposed, but without seeing it, all we can do is guess.

lol. I agree with O|||||||O. Also what mode are you shooting in?

Is there any underexposed one in between too?

Sounds like the bracketing feature is on, but that would give you an underexposed picture as well.

What exposure mode, metering mode and ISO are you using?
What are the lighting conditions?
Weather overcast, bright with or without clouds?

Believe it or not, the problem is about 3 inches behind the view finder... lol

Do you understand that various metering modes on the D200, how they work and how to use them? ;)
