According to the discovery page at the vegemite website, it was invented because they wanted to find a good food form for vitamin B. Or something like that.

Never had vegemite. Marmite on the other hand, that's the real stuff.

I just had toast with loads of it on there. You notice when your lips are dry...

I sometimes go -oooh i want vegemite...

then i have it - and its grose...

vegemite & cheese sandwiches...

I usually end up giving the cheese to my cat & throwing the sandwich out.

Actually I think I may have some sort of unatural fear of vegemite :scratch: then again anything that could be considered healthy for you scares me! :lol:

Tried it, didn't like it. May not have used it properly either. Tried it on a sandwich like jelly. Terrible tasting stuff. How are you suposed to eat it?
