Of photos of a dead deer? My fiance went hunting and he shot a deer. I took many photos before he took it to be processed. I was just going to post them but then I thought I wouldn't want to offend anyone so I thought I would ask first.

Personally I don't think it's anything horrid. Though it might be gross. Depends on the shot? Does it have meaning to it?

Well the meaning to me is ever since we have been together (4 plus years) he hasn't shot one and I have always wanted to see what one looked like close up. (I know that sounds sick but its not, just my curiousity)

LittleMan is correct in that posting a warning in your title should be sufficient to scare off those of us with weaker stomachs. :lol:

I voted "no" myself, but really, it's less about trying to please a few nay-sayers and more about warning the entire membership of what lies within.

You're sweet to try to test the waters like this, but you'll be fine with the warning. Generally speaking, any time you have an image that is questionable in content, pm one of the mods for advice. That way you can be certain you're within TPF guidelines.

I love to hunt, but hate to kill. Everyone tells me that the safest place for the animal to be, is right where I am aiming. They just don't know that I miss on purpose....... Post it with a warning. (o

Thank you everyone for the help. Terri I appreciate the words of advice. I guess I didn't think of asking a Mod before posting. I think I will wait to see how the poll goes before I post them. I am not one to get into arguements with people so I don't want to make anyone mad.

It's a little confusing. The poll question is...Do we want to see them?...but the title/first post is...Would we be offended?

You may be getting 'No' votes that mean [No, I won't be offended]...rather than [No, I don't want to see them].

Just post the photo(s)...and put a warning on the title. If people don't want to see it...then they don't have to look.

For me... the question "Do you want to see them?" has a different answer than "Would you be offended by them?"

I eat meat. I have relatives that hunt, and I've eaten the meat they've gotten from hunting. So, I really think that not only would I not be offended, but I'd be a pretty big hypocrite if I was offended.

That said, I also don't have a particular desire to see the pictures. (But the same is true of bug pictures. I don't have anything against them, I just don't particularly care for looking at them.)

Which is a long way of saying, go ahead and post (with a warning).
