Yellow Headed Blackbirds

This was more of an experiment to see how I would do with a lot different lighting. I almost always go out birding a little after lunch time, around 2 or 3. This time me and the wife went out around 7 or so, just before sundown. I think they came out fairly good considering the higher ISO than I normally shoot.

Never heard of them

. Beautiful bird and quite fluffy in the feathering by the look. Wonderful yellow in these. Our blackbirds are exactly that, black

Well, *I* never heard of 'em, either and I'm considerably closer than NZ! We have those "black" Blackbirds too, but we're not content with that. We also have Red-Winged Blackbirds, Rusty Blackbirds, Brewer's Blackbird (which looks an awful lot like a Common Grackle, if you ask me) and evidently, Yellow-Headed Blackbirds. And now, I want to see one for real.
