I'm looking for a remote trigger with a built in intervalometer for my D90. The only ones I'm finding have very mixed reviews. Can anyone recommend one?

Thanks!

Good and inexpensive are two words that are mutually exclusive in photography. If you want a good, reliable unit, spend the money for the Nikon model. If you want okay, then there are a host of inexpensive ones on eBay. They probably all come out of the same factory, so I wouldn't worry too much about which one I got.

That's not always true. For optics and lighting related equipment, sure.. but a simple electronic device can be made cheaply. My Zeikos vertical grip being one good example.. picked it up for $50. Rock solid, works just as well as genuine Nikon.

I thought maybe someone had found an inexpensive one that they happen to like.

A vertical grip is a pretty basic device, a lot more basic that an intervalometer.

I have a Zeikos vertical grip on one D300, and a Nikon Vertical grip on another.

How many Nikon vertical grips have you used for an extended period of time?

While the Zeikos grip works ok, it definately doesn't perform quite as good as the Nikon grip does. I'm also very careful with the Zeikos grip because it has a plastic chassis, while the Nikon grip has a magnesium metal chassis. I don't expect the Zeikos grip to last as long, or to hold its resale value as well as the Nikon grip will.
