Cleaning the lens with spectacle wipes

RE: Alcohol soaked lens wipes ... they work, to get the big stuff off, but they always leave streaks. I've not found any that don't, anyway...

Are those condoms? I don't have my contacts in. And why would hamlet need 600 of them? That seems like alot before they would expire.

I thought you really weren't supposed to use alcohol on lenses.

I've read this also on the internets, but i just checked in my lens manual, it specifically mentions to use ethanol to clean it.
