Color correct my late dog's eyes?? (glowing green in photo)

Hello,
Is there anyone out there who can attempt to color correct my dog's eyes in this photo? I have tried before but it never turns out looking quite right .... even if you have to change the color of the entire picture that might be okay.

It's my favorite picture I have of her. She died suddenly a couple years ago and took a part of my heart with her. I even had a story printed in a dog magazine about how I adopted her... you can read it here if interested - it shows a picture of her NORMAL eyes too (Dog World November 2011 | My Story: Finding Phoebe)

This would be mean sooo much to me!!

Unfortunately, I am not good at cloning out the dish, so I just cropped it off instead. Somebody else could get the dish out and give it a better crop.

Copied the dog's eyes from one photo and pasted them into the other photo...
