Corfu Greece

..or better, the 5 square kilometers around our apartement in Almiros Beach for the past week. We were both too tired to do anything but to drink, eat, hang around the beach and read a couple of good books. Here are the photo's I took this week.

3 Ah, day number 2 at the beach but during the day. The mountains at the horizon are the coast of Albania.

4 And then we made the mistake to go for a walk at 10 in the morning. It was burning hot an hour later. Nice views though but we took a taxi back.

5 This reminds me of some Vietnam movies somehow. I don't know why.

8 Some abandoned car wreck we passed on our way to the market, 2 minutes from the appartement.

9 The dog that lived next to the car wreck. The guy at the market called this dog a "Happy Dog". He probably meant it doesn't bite, because I thought it was a bit sad to tie a dog to a tree for 24/7. It was indeed quite cheerfull though.

10 A house sparrow taking a dip in the pool just before I did so myself.

11 The pool itself. I told you we didn't do much...

12 Some pebbles from the beach that I took home.

A nice relaxing week. The flight back was horrible. No legspace and parents that let their children run through the airplane. I'll never want to fly Transavia ever again.

Boy, this looks like you had a wonderful time. I've never been to Greece (any part of Greece) myself. Never. Can you imagine???

my aunt and unlce live in corfu my uncles greek i was thinking of going there this year or next for a few months id only have to pay for the plane tickets since i could stay there... did you check out corfu town.. theres plenty of opertunitys for some candid photogrpahy around there,

Corfu town looked very nice but we didn't go there. We stayed in a very quiet area in the north of Corfu called Acharavi and didn't go more then 5 km from the appartement.

Once every few years we take a holiday just to get some rest and do absolutely nothing but sleep 10 hrs a night and read some books in the sun. Corfu was that holiday for us for this year. In august we'll do something exciting again like fly to New York or go on a hiking trip.

Number 1 is my favourite, I feel like I'm right there (and it's not a bad place to be, no?). Composition and colours are very pleasing to the eye on this one.
