I know it's not a good photo but I thought it was interesting to see the root system of this tree that's been exposed due to years of washouts from storms.

I like shots of root systems like this for the same reason. There's always a lot of textural interest and pattern.

Right?! It definitely made me look and to take a picture. You can't see it, but there's a woodchuck hidden in there.
