flashes

does anyone have any reccomendations for flashes? im currently using a canon 40d. somethingfor the bang for the buck. about 150 and less?

C'mon, grizzly, you can't be serious! Are you really planning to stick a third tier flash gun onto a first tier camera?
You'll get what you pay for.

I would try a Speedlite 220EX They look pretty good from the webpage. It doesn't have all the customizable settings its big brother has, but unfortunately you can't have both price and features.

Also, Sigma makes some clones of Canon and Nikon flashes for less. I tend to think Sigma's products are an aftermarket company of adequate quality. Now if you find some generic online by a company named MASTERFLASH or some other name you've never heard of, I'd steer clear.

If it were me, I'd wait until spending $200 was an option. The sigma has a lot more features, and if you are one of those people who likes to tinker (most photographers are gadget heads), it will make you happier.

Used 430 EX, i think thats what their called. You can pick one up used for under 200. Sorry,i dont shoot canon
