Rhyolite, near Beatty and Death Valley, old gold mining town. One scene of the movie «The Island», with Scarlett Johansson and Ewan McGregor, was shots there.

It's a good conversion but judging by the white outline along the hilltops, you might have hit the sharpening slider a bit too hard.
