Mommy, why don't I look like you?

Saw this baby cowbird out on my trails. I was pretty surprised when a chipping sparrow came up and fed the baby.. Guess Cowbirds like to deposit their eggs in other birds nests and let the other birds raise them.. Pretty strange. Comments welcome...

As always ... I'm jealous you get such creatures so close to you - makes me want to visit with my wife's great grandmother more often in CT (Old Saybrook, too)!!
