When you first started in band way back when, did you automatically know you wanted to play the clarinet? If not, what other instruments did you consider? What made you choose the clarinet?

I had my heart set on the trumpet. They told me my mouth wasn't shaped right. Then was the trombone...I sure missed the bullet not choosing that one...

What is the earliest memory you can think of?

Helping paint the living room of my old house is the oldest complete memory, though I do remember a 'snapshot' so to speak of me stanging in the utility room there...probably 3-4 years old then

How much planning do you normally do before shooting?

Absolutely...A field with a hill, and a tree on top. Very simple, but catch it in either all 4 seasons or a bunch of weather situations and somehow combine them into one image. Unfortunately, I have yet to even find a suitable tree...

I think I'd like so live in Berlin or Vienna for a while. I've just always wanted to spend some time there, not to mention that they have pretty kick-*** orchestras
