An online forum where your screen name has to be your real name????? NFW!

I belong to a of forum where that is exactly how it works. You use your real name as your screen name.

I too use a forum where you use a real first name. It's no big deal. And what about facebook? You have to use a real name for that too...

I put my first name in my sig. My email i use most commonly has my full name in it. I'm not too worried honestly. I've given out my full name on sites before. I'm sure if you really looked hard enough through my links and what not you could find my full name. I'm not too worried to be honest.

Also here a lot of people's watermark includes their name. Personally mine doesn't, but then again even if it did i rarely even bother watermarking my images because they're not worth the hassle and i dont think anyone would steal my ****. lmao. I mainly just do it to play around. That's a different subject all together though.

Honestly though, i can be quite an obnoxious and blunt person. I don't care if my username is my full name or 'mylittlepony123' i'll say what i think, i don't generally sugar coat things. I mean seriously if i had a problem with someone at the worst i'd put them on ignore. MOST(there are some weirdos) people aren't going to like track you down beat the **** out of you if you call them an asshole over the internet.

'you called my picture ugly! HOW DARE YOU! i must go to your house and smash your camera now!' Seriously... people aren't generally like that.

Ironically, Blizzard has said they're keeping employee names private. A GM at Blizzard, defending this new policy, posted his real name. Within 15 minutes, his address, phone numbers (home and cell), maps to his house, his parents names, etc, were posted. Immediately, Blizzard did a rethink on this. So, they'll protect their employees anonymity, but not the schlubs who fork over cash to play online D&D.

There is really no need for anyone to know someone's real name in a forum and considering the range of locations of members, a name does not really mean anything in any event. With a common name, it means even less. Although I have been on the net since before web sites, I am still impossible to find on Google and that is the way I like it.
