What's new

The Coffee House

Yesterday put half of the decorations away and did the other half today. Went to bed last night at 10 still not feeling 100%. Woke up at 11 for the next 2 hours listening to fireworks, perhaps gunshots, and Oscar was talking in his sleep. Part of the problem was that I was hungry from not eating much, so today I am trying to add more food intake.
Gotta keep your fighting weight up for 2024!

Yep! My husband had the same flu, but is eating everything now with his iron stomach
Soup and baguette is my go to when I’ve been sick.

Also, for next time, pink lemonade and lemon Italian ices or those real fruit lemon popsicles are great to keep from getting dehydrated when you’re stomach is upset. Lemon combats nausea. Learned that trick when I had morning sickness.

I never was much on the "new Year" thing. I guess, in my mind, it should be closer to the Winter Solstice. Anyway, relatively uneventful return flights from Tulsa, but the St Louis-to-Baltimore leg was delayed about 30 minutes. Not a big deal. Bggage claim advised carousel nine. After several minutes there, we get redirected to carousel three. Many bags later, we get a redirect to number one. After midnight before we got our bags. Come on BWI, you used to be better than Reagan National.

Have always found BWI to be a but if a clown show. Gate changes, delays, nasty restrooms… Used to have to stopover there frequently when we were using our Southwest points as there weren’t many directs out of Boston.

Doesn't get much more Maine than this 🤣

Sinking fast but a quick word till then. Stoly and Absolut from the freezer are nice but this stuff...Very pleasing enhanced neuro-toxic effect. Recommended to TPF patients. Must go. Just handed a blini wrapped around salmon roe.

In France, they have table wine, in Scandanavia, they have table aquavit... a necessity when jumping off a longship into the cold waters of the English Channel and charging up the beach to party with the Saxons... here's to the water of life...

I've never had an issue departing from there but twice now, arriving has been a struggle.

When I was very young, my family travelled, mainly by car, though I remember a month long train trip across Canada and down the west coast. As an adult I have not travelled much.

There's a "PrtScn" (F8) button to capture the entire screen, or you can do WindowsKey-Shift-S to open the snip tool and capture a section of the screen.

These do not want to work on my computer. Something typical about that. . . . :)

Thanks anyway!

Another option may be to hit print then in the print options instead of choosing a printer you can use the save as option.

Ah yes, you can save it as a pdf for example. Forgot about that.

Happy New Year, hosers! Had a quiet day yesterday, aside from getting up at 6am to get the car over to the shop. This shop closes for the week between Christmas and New Year's, so they made the decision this year to just open on New Year's Day.

We've been having a strange issue with a cooling fan coming on and off spontaneously, and they initially were of the opinion that it was likely a bad sensor - easy fix. The bad news is we actually need a new water pump and regulator, but since they need to go get those parts and everyone else WAS closed, they kept the car and we might get it back this afternoon. They make no guarantees.

Thank goodness for leftovers and plenty of pasta in the cupboard!

Nothing like car troubles to start the New Year. Smooth car sailing the remainder of the year.
