What's new

Don't take the internet personal.

Pure irony that this thread turned into a coffee discussion. You guys rock.

For the record, When I go to Starbucks my order is "Large coffee please?" lol. I was just being a jerk with the whole latte comment. :sexywink:

I was at a Starbucks counter on my campus a few weeks ago. There were a few people in front of me, but you could tell they'd just gotten through a big rush. Everyone was giving the typical mile-long orders. The girl in front of me ordered some sort of cappuccino with strawberry syrup or some such nonsense. It was horrifying.

They got to me.

"Small coffee, please. Room for milk."

The guy taking my order got all wide-eyed and whispered, "Thank you!"

But WHY? Why go to Starbucks for regular coffee? I make my regular stuff at home, and treat myself to a caramel macchiato when I go in Starbucks.

Stop wasting all that instant coffee on developing and start making your own darn regular coffee :P

Never has anyone offended me more, Leonore. Shame on you!

First of all, Starbucks makes their regular coffee in a shiny thing. Then they put it in the pumpy thing. I don't have the shiny thing OR the pumpy thing at home. THAT's why we get regular coffee at Starbucks. mmmmm-kay?

Yeah...trying to throw us all off of the trail with this amusing anecdote of you, in a Starbucks, ordering "a single, small coffee". I think this is where the word "Pshaw!" is properly used...

I have brought shame to the forum. Forgive me.

It's true. I make good strong coffee at home, but sometimes...sometimes...I go to Starbucks! And order regular coffee!

But is it really so bad? Is it so horrible to hate sweetened coffee? Unless it involves whisky and whipped cream? Is it? IS IT????? Huh?

Don't forget that thing, y'know, that thing about glass houses and stones...don't throw something at something else...because you'll get a cramp? Oh, I know! Don't throw your Zeiss glass at a rock! Someone could lose an eye!

Starbucks is filth.

O.M.G. Sooooo offensive. And I'm offended that Eric took offense to manaheim's taking offense to Starbucks.

Yeah, try to sort that one out. And when you do, you'll then know what it's like to grade my students' papers ;)

Maybe Starbucks should put a darkroom in the back.

My mind went to the emphasis being on zip, but of course I don't know where's Kathy's mind was going with that...

Are you trying to offend me through your students? That's it! I'm reporting my own thread to Manaheim. :x

Coincidence... yesterday I was thinking about coffee... right now I'm drinking my coffee...

Good, strong, without sugar and without any addition, real coffee...

Every morning, on working days, I drink my coffee with you guys... you're a fine company...just saying :

I wish I could enter in that 0,02% chances and actually drink that coffee for real with some of TPF
