My beagle

I'm very knew to photography and was at the lake last night playing around with my camera. Here is a pic of my beagle Holly.
What do you think? Any and all critique is welcome and appreciated.

Beagles have great smiles! One suggestion would be to get down to her level; whenever you're photographing something with eyes (person, pooch, or parrot), shooting at his/her/its eye level usually gives best results. Also watch your framing so as to avoid little issues like the amputation of her front paws.
