I feel like the background is too bright compered to her face.

Edit: Here are another two photos I took the same day. Those I manipulated in Lightroom (for the first time). Tips regarding the post proccesing would be appriciated ;]

I agree. First of all, strictly speaking while they are both Adobe products, Lightroom is not actually Photoshop; it's a stand-alone application which incorporates Adobe Camera Raw (with many enhancements), a module also shared by Photoshop. The main advantages to Lightroom are that it does non-destructive editing (the edit's aren't applied to the image, but saved in a file and applied on export) and that it allows for selective enhancements.That said, My suggestion would be to open the original file in Lightroom and use the selective enhancement brush with an exposure adjustment to reduce the brightness of the background, and then do a second adjustment to increase (carefully and gently - increasing exposure increases digital noise) the exposure on the face.

The first photo i think would have benefited from a fill flash on her face. The second picture i really like, i think it captures the silly-ness, the third doesn't really do anything for me. Keep it up.

Thanks! When you said the second you ment the one with only the girl? (I just rearranged them). And I'll go back working on the first one, I need to read some tutorials to fully understand hoe to use LR.

I tried proccesing it in LR, adding more exposure to the face compering to the background. What do you think?

I think
The first is a good one to practice on but you missed the focus so that will really doom and big effort.
The second one is a nice family shot.
The third could have been a forever portfolio shot but their hands are too close to the bottom and not enough of him, and too much of her to crop well.
Excellent try, keep on going.
