should I dare to buy anything from this place?

The prices seem good but some of the reviews are downright scary!

other is ryther camera. Also seems to have very competitive pricing anyone ever use them for equipment?

Reading the reviews as soon as you come across reviews stating that they are operating bait and switch just walk away. When a shop sells you one thing online, but then you phone to confirm and they hard sell you something else (we don't actually have any stock) or try things like "You have to pay extra to get the proper batteries, oh and the software - oh and we have a better version made of higher grade plastic" etc.. then its fraud. They use the low price to snare you in and then hard-sell you at the price they want or selling you the stock they do have. If you jump through their hoops and pay more you have a chance of actually getting something - if you don't your order might be outright cancelled or just put on indefinite "awaiting stock" hold.

Check the reviews and if they are selling way under market price suspect something is wrong. In the end trusted retailers like B&H - WEX - Adorama - Amazon are far better and safer.

Informative post thankyou. I surely don't want to deal with that headache. The part I put in bold is pretty much what im looking for. I did look at B&H already but wanted lower pricing. For what I was looking at it seemed ordering direct through the manufacturer would be about the same $. Do you know anything about ryther camera? I would like to avoid paying sales tax too and save myself a couple or few hundred in process!

Put their address into reseller ratings and find out if its listed - see what google comes up with as well.

But honestly you're trying to get cheap where cheap does not exist. Big camera retailers already offer a very competitive price. Shop around between them and you might save a bit. Otherwise if you want cheaper you could wait for rebates to be on offer (never can tell when they'll appear nor on what equipment) or you could consider grey imports - I think Adorama does them already on their site and B&H might as well.

yeah I know. im just sort of pricing because I don't really care what I get (more about price) but I need to replace what im using now at some point. It is on my to do list. I just look, do other crap, look again, do other crap.
All I really need is some decent lowlight a telephoto and something that goes further than what I have now on my point and shoot 180 mm and 20+mp. so im really looking for a okay lowlight body and a really great lense like 24-300 or something. I don't want to carry three lenses either. I want one. all around telephoto and maybe pick up a macro or close one. I DONT want a standard kit lense it would be useless to me. if I got a good deal on a 610 id take that, or a 7100 I would take that. id even take a 3300 or a 6d I have my preferences I really don't care depends on the markdown. if I knew a local store that had any of the above locally with a huge markdown id be driving over right now (I prefer to buy things in person anyway) but im coming up with nothing. My main limit is I don't want to carry around too much money in camera. I don't like carrying valuables. More something costs more paranoid I am over it. you guys probably get a good idea of what I shoot now from the recent weeks, mostly night, dark, telephoto (but I do some landscape too). And they tend to suck, partly because my camera sucks. which is why it keeps popping back up on my to do list. But im not a pro and have no intention of going pro, I don't need pro equipment.

"(more about price)" but a d3300 is far cheaper than a d7100 or d610.
If you had a budget in mind folks could give you a shopping list for your one lens for all setup.
Nikon has a 18-300mm, on a d3300 or 3200 (24mp) that would be a good setup.

May I recommend that you stick with proven suppliers? Amazon, KEH, B&H, Adorama, all have excellent reputations for customer service, and reasonable prices. Spend the extra dough and get good service before and after the sale.

Yah, im confused too you aren't alone. And I shouldn't say my camera sucks, probably one of the best point and shoot super zooms on the market. I actually like it I bought it for the telephoto and because i didn't want to deal with lenses (and it was only a few hundred bucks). im getting disappointed and frustrated with it though because it doesn't go far enough in zoom and the low light is killing me. The dynamic range, I couldn't even take a picture of roses without exceeding it because they were in front of a window with light coming in. I don't really have a budget except how much im willing to carry with me and risk losing or breaking. LOL cheaper the better (less it depreciates the better too) but I draw the line with me banging my head off a wall in frustration. Lets say eight hundred isn't a issue. a grand or so not so much a big deal. two grand Id have to pause but would probably do it. three k is pushing it. And at two or three k I don't think id carry it around because im the type of person that doesn't like carrying around more than twenty bucks in my wallet so it may not get much use.. LOL

oh. And plowing snow last night I hit a snow bank too hard and forgot my current camera was on the dash. so it hit the window and landed on the floor. still works (and it didn't crack the windshield thankfully already replaced the windshield once already), but when I say carry around and use I mean USE. I also put it on top of the car in a snow storm the other night trying to get some still shots. If you can factor that in. It wont be a studio camera by any means. Again. cheaper camera breaks it wont concern me too much. More expensive though the build quality needs to be high enough to survive things like bouncing off windshields. How people use a camera seems important too so if you can factor the use level of it in...

I don't trust myself with a 2000 dollar lense. I don't pay enough attention to take care of a 2000 dollar lense. That would turn out very badly.

I use a 70-200 mm f2.8 sigma myself. I have a 2x teleconverter for it so i can go from 200 mm f2.8 to 400mm f5.6 and I only need the one lens. I've found it to be an incredibly versatile combination

7100 I like the focusing system. I guess it doesnt have a built in flash though, or a flip screen or does time and date photos. I don't know if the sensor is enough better to warrant it over a 3300 for lowlight it is still isn't a full frame sensor? No wifi connectivity except with the adaptor. I don't like those things. Like the fact it has more user manual options and better build quality. The price just over a grand is reasonable. I do wish it had the flip screen built in flash and onboard wifi though for ease of use. From what I have seen on here though it would work great for taking pictures of flying birds though (wonder if it could still do that in lowlight). And people complain about buffering? Not sure how that would work if it would effect me. like the dual card slots.
