Went on a trip this past weekend and came across a Snowy Owl while taking my Sam (3y/o named Apollo) to the beach.

Tennessee always takes forever to turn colors, which I kind of like and kind of hate. Fall is my favorite time of year and its always frustrating to watch the rest of the world get color while I'm still sitting in 85 and humid with lots of green. That being said... our fall colors usually last...
For years now I've been wanting to get a picture of a Monarch butterfly and while visiting the Hampton Beach in NH yesterday, I saw one drinking some nectar from these large red clovers on the boardwalk (or cement walk) and he stayed there for a while so I was able to whip out my 70-200 and get...
I may not be looking toward the white stuff that always seems to fall after this season but I can't deny the beauty that the autumn season has.

I was walking around my lawn getting some fresh air, wasn't really taking pictures but just taking a break from something and I looked down and saw this really red leaf laying there and I picked it up and took this picture with my phone!
It made me realize the change is inevitable, it's coming...
I was mowing the lawn when I saw these mushrooms just chilling out and so I stopped mowing, ran inside and grabbed my camera and took this shot! You just never know when a photo opportunity is going to happen. I guess we always have to be prepared haha.
Then...well...the mushrooms went bye bye...
I am a hobbiest when it comes to photography and have discovered that the side benefit is it gets me away from my desk and outside. Lurked on this site for a couple of days and thought why not see what others think. Never shared any pictures publicly and looking for any feedback.
For so many years I've wanting to get a picture of a Monarch butterfly and as I was working outside on my driveway (fixing drainage) I saw one land and he was just chilling there, wasn't afraid of me. So I ran inside grabbed my camera but first put my tele on and ran back outside and laid on the...

Golden hour can make all the difference sometimes. It isn't my favorite photo I ever taken but interestingly, it became one of my most "liked" photos on Instagram, just on it's own.

Lava Dancers was composed at Hopeland Gardens in Aiken, SC.
From The Artist's Story blog post:
"Upon the first look through the viewfinder at the subject in Lava Dancers, I immediately knew the title of this piece. I was initially attracted to the colors, but getting in close and seeing what...
Rainbow Seeds is another piece from my current portfolio. It was composed in Augusta, GA.
From The Artist's Story blog post:
"I was creating abstract compositions of an open pod of seeds one spring afternoon in the Phinizy Swamp Nature Park when the light changed to a perfect amount and angle...

It's about time! Grass is finally turning green, trees have buds on them and flowers are blooming.
I'll be honest...I bought these in a store. (these are real by the way.)

Hi.
I'm a photographer from Poland in Europe.
Photography is my hobby since 2013 when a I bought my first DSLR and started taking photos of PC projects and parts.
Latter I was fascinated about long exposure and nature photos, I'm also did portraits and commercial projects recently, but two...
This photo was taken in southern Pennsylvania along the Mason-Dixon Trail. It is just upstream from a small waterfall called Mill Creek Falls. Although the waterfall is nice, I found the cascades along the creek to be more interesting photo subjects. If you're interested you can see more photos...

This one turned out very interesting...it was caught through the sliding glass door and is definitely more artsy than natural, but still appealing if you enjoy the artsy look.

I spent two days of camping try to get a good landscape photo with my new Pentax K-1. I was getting frustrated because it was too dreary and gloomy and I was getting nothing good. Then this guy showed up by my tent. I only have a telephoto lens for my Olympus Em5 MK 2. Sometimes bigger isn't...
Hi, was really happy with how this turned out (which is rare for me) the morning fog was hard to see through but after some curves altering in lightroom, i hit this.
Thoughts?
I've been dormant for a while here but thought I'd try to get back into it.
I'm still struggling somewhat with my PP techniques (LR/PS), So I've taken a couple of edits from this picture and would appreciate feedback on what you'd do differently.

A beautiful tree in the middle of the Croisette in Cannes, France. I chose the angle for this photograph to emphasize the beauty of the tree and its impressive height.

Hi everyone,
I've been putting a lot of thought into buying a new camera over the past couple of months. Currently I own a Canon 60D which serves me well, but its bulkiness and weight make it a pain to bring along on trips, especially when hiking. I also have access to film SLRs that I use...
Hi everybody! I am glad that I found this forum and I can hopefully learn a lot of new things, maybe even help a bit.I currently am using Nikon D3300 with 50mm 1.8. I primarily do landscapes and nature shots. I am looking to upgrade bodies and lenses at the first of the year. What would be a...
Taken today. Surprisingly, I've never been able to capture a deer, and she let me get very close. Also, it was a good day for hawking, though I admit I don't know what kind this is.

A more recent photo of mine. I'm kind of a bird nut and now that I'm back in New England I'm on a quest to capture as many of the types of birds here as possible.

Hey all,
I'm a hobbyist photographer who got into the craft while I was at grad school. So, 7 years or so now I've been shooting mostly nature photography with a wedding or event or two thrown into the mix. I'm newly a stay-at-home mom, and I'm hoping to find some part time work as a photo...
